【摘要】:ThissectionofIEC870-6considersthestandardsrelatedtolayers1-4oftheOSIreferencemodel.Itsobjectivesareasfollows:-todescribetheroleandthefunctionscarriedoutbyeachlayer;-tolisttherelevantISObasicstandards;-togivegeneralconsiderationsandrecommendationsfortheuseofthestandardsintheapplicationcontextofpart6.Theuseofthesestandardsintheirapplicationtoendsystems(ES)andintermediatesystems(IS)isdescribed.AnESisonewhichcontainsallsevenlayersoftheOSIreferencemodelaswellasanapplicationprocess.AnISisacommunicationrelaybetweensub-networks.ESsandISsareconsideredinIEC870-1-4andIEC870-6-1.Thedescriptionofthefunctionscarriedoutbyeachlayerisintendedtobefairlycompletebutmakesnoclaimtobeingexhaustive.Formoredetails,therelevantsectionsofISO7498shouldbeconsultedaswellasthelistedISObasicstandards.Second,theISOstandardslistedarethefundamentalonesrelatedtoeachlayer;again,thelistdoesnotclaimtobeexhaustive.Finally,thegeneralconsiderationsandrecommendationsareintendedtopresentthebasicissuesinvolvedintheapplicationofthestandardsandtolaydownthefundamentalmannerinwhichtheyaretobeused.Thepurposeistocodifythegroundrulesformakingthespecificcomprehensiveanddetailedchoicesnecessaryforthedefinitionofthefunctionalprofileswhicharethesubjectofpart6-5andsubsequentparts.ThissectionisorganizedaccordingtotheOSIlayers.Becausethereisastronginterdependenceinthechoiceofprotocolsinthethreelowestlayers,theselayersaregroupedintoclausesofthissection.Withintheseclauses,theorganizationisaccordingtothetypeoftransmissionnetwork.Thetreatmentofeachlayercontainsthefollowingelements:-introduction:brieflydescribingthelayer'sfunctionandroleintheoverallcommunicationprocess;-referencedocuments;-services;·listofservicesandQOSparametersincludedinthestandards;·guidelinesandrecommendationsconcerningthechoiceanduseoftheseservices;-protocols;·listofprotocolclasses,subsets,etc.includedintherelevantstandards;·guidelinesandrecommendationsconcerningthechoiceanduseoftheseprotocols.
