【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversanadhesiveforbondingprefabricatedacousticalmaterialstotheinsidewallsandceilingsofroomsinbuildings.Thisadhesiveisrequiredtomaintainatensileadhesion(bondstrength)ofnotlessthan3.45104dynes/cm2(1/2lb/in.2)foralongperiodoftimeunderthetemperatureandmoistureconditionslikelytobeencounteredandtomaintainsufficientplasticitytoallowformovementofpartsofthebuildingasitages.Note18212;CleanlinessofSurface-Thesurfacetowhichtheacousticalmaterialisappliedwiththeadhesiveshouldbeclean,sound,anddry.Surfacecoatingsshouldberemovediftheirnatureindicatesanunsatisfactoryinstallation,sothattheadhesivecanbeappliedtothebase.Whentheadhesiveistobeappliedonapaintedsurface,testtileshouldbeappliedfor48htodeterminesuitableadherenceofthecoatingbyexamination.Acousticaladhesivesarenotintendedtobeappliedtosurfacesthataremoistandthathaveanalkalinereaction,orthatmaylaterbecomemoistoralkaline.Suchsurfaces,asconcreteorplaster,shouldbeproperlydriedandagedbeforeapplyingtheadhesive.Note28212;Load-Thisadhesiveisnotrecommendedasasolemeansofholdingacousticalmaterialsweighingmorethan121kg/m2(21/2lb/ft2)toceilingsurfaces.Note38212;AmountandConditionofMaterial-Itisrecommendedthatsufficientadhesivebeusedsothatthereisacontactsurfaceofnotlessthan1.2104cm2/m2(20in.2/ft2)ofacousticalmaterial,withaminimumthicknessof0.3cm(1/8in.)andthattheadhesivebeappliedinfourseparatenearlysphericalportionsofapproximatelyequalsizenearthecornersforastandard30.5by30.5-cm(12by12-in.)tile.Fewerthanormorethanfourportionsfor30.5by30.5-cmtilearenotrecommendedduetodifficultyinlevelingandinsecuringeffectivecontactareaonallportions.Adhesivesthatarehard,ordonotwetthesurface,oraredifficulttospreadshouldnotbeused.Note4RigidityofBaseSurfaces-Itisnecessarythatthematerialformingthebasetowhichtheadhesiveisattachedshouldberelativelysmooth,firm,andrigid.Ifthepressureofapplyingtileandadhesivecausesthebasematerialtodeflectexcessively,tilepreviouslyappliedmayhavetheiradhesivebondbroken.Thisoccursonsometypesofgypsumboardsuspensionsystems.Note5Aging-Todate,noacceleratedagingtestsforadhesiveshavebeendevelopedtoduplicateexactlyaginginservice.Theagingtestsinthisspecificationaredesignedtoacceleratetheagingprocessandtotestvariousmanifestationsofaging,andareintendedtobesatisfactoryforcomparingoneadhesivewithanother;theydonotnecessarilyreflectagingcharacteristicsonanabsolutebasis.Purchasersofadhesivesshouldreceivefromthemanufactureradditionalwarrantiesandassurancesofperformanceoftheadhesiveundernormalaging.Note68212;ErectionPractices-Propererectiontechniquesareessentialforproperperformanceofanyacousticaladhesive.Useofamaterialmeetingthisspecificationwillnotinitselfguaranteesatisfactoryperformance.Onlywhentilesareappliedbyskilledandexperiencedworkersfollowinginstructionsfromthemanufacturercanthepurchaserbeassuredofsatisfactoryperformanceofanadhesive.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
